About Us

Haverhill Volunteer Centre is a dedicated service for volunteers and volunteer-involving organisations in and around Haverhill.

Helping you find your perfect volunteering role – no matter who you are, how much or how little time you have, or why you want to volunteer, we can help you find something to match your needs

Working with local organisations – any voluntary, community, faith, social enterprise, or public sector organisation can register with us and advertise volunteering opportunities for free. We also help with all aspects of volunteer management from recruitment and developing new roles, to training and management.

The Volunteer Centre is the latest ONE Haverhill Partnership project to be delivered by the Town Council through their charity arm Haverhill Community Trust. It has funding from West Suffolk Council and support from other partners such as Community Action Suffolk and River of Life Community Church.

Our Priorities

Our aims are to help people into employment (where appropriate), bring communities together, boost mental wellbeing and reduce social isolation.

We take the time to find out your needs and work out how your volunteering experience, knowledge and experience can be of mutual benefit to everyone involved.

Our Values

Everyone has the right to offer their time to volunteer

Every volunteer has the right to have a great volunteering experience

Volunteers must never be a direct replacement for paid workers

Volunteering is always a matter of free choice

True volunteering is for the benefit of the social community, the individual, and volunteer-involving organisations
